Site Information

Here you enter the default load generation information that appears in the Site Information box for new files. Only those values that can be expected to remain more or less the same for all the structures in your vicinity are included.

Importance Category

For all versions of the software you enter the Importance category that is used for the Importance Factor for both wind and seismic design.

City*

You can select the closest city or town to where your building is situated by first picking the province and then from an alphabetical listing of cities and towns in that province. When selected, it has an immediate effect on the wind velocity default shown just below, the wind velocity pressure for the current structure in the Site dialog, and the seismic site coefficients Sa(T). They will be used for future projects if "Save as default for new files" is checked, which it is by default.

Wind Velocity

You enter the design velocity pressure for the location that your buildings are most likely to be situated.
