The files produced by Sizer use specific extensions to identify themselves. The following details the purpose of each of the file extensions used by Sizer:
Workspace Organizer File
.wprj Sizer Project File
This file is in text format.
You choose where to save this file.
Project Files
.ww Version 1 file
.wwa Sizer Concept file - Made with version before 11.5
.wwb Sizer Beam file - Made with version before 11.5
.wwc Sizer Column file - Made with version before 11.5
.wwac Sizer Concept file - Canadian edition of program
.wwbc Sizer Beam file - Canadian edition of program
.wwcc Sizer Column file - Canadian edition of program
You can open files made with versions before 11.5 with later versions, and of you save it, the program will append the "c" to indicate it is the Canadian edition. The USA edition appends the letter "u" to the file extension, so you can distinguish them if you use both editions.
These are binary files.
You choose where to save these files.

A Preferences setting allows you to store these files in the same folder as the associated Project file, or you can save them in the folder C:\ProgramData
WoodWorks\OutputFiles\[FileID]\.
This facilitates use of WoodWorks project files on a virtual drive, but some users do not have permission to save in that folder.
FileID
is a 32 character length unique ID created by the system uniquely for each project file. This is a coded ID which does not allow you to identify the file, but under Design in the main menu the item Open as a Text File allows you to open the file in Notepad and modify it if you wish.
Application Data
These files are stored in the following locations
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\WoodWorks\CWC\Canada\9\
C:\ProgramData\WoodWorks\CWC\Canada\9\
and contain information that the program may change based on your instructions. If you are experiencing problems with Sizer, technical support may ask you to send them the contents of the first of these folders.

These files have a binary, non-standard format.
Default data
.wsz Loads.wsz - Default loads file.
This is a binary file.
Initialization files
.ini Sizer.ini - contains your settings and options.
.ini Database.ini - contains the list of materials (database files) you have chosen to include in Sizer using Database Editor.
These are unformatted text files.
Executable Files
sizer.exe The program executable file
.dll Dynamic link library - executable files that are invoked by Sizer.exe. There are .dlls for the following:

These files appear in folder in which Sizer is installed, usually under Program Files (x86) on your computer.
