The procedure from the 1997 CWC/CCMC Concluding Report, Development of Design Procedures for Vibration Controlled Spans using Engineered Wood Members has been implemented for I-joists. This procedure is based on the same principles as the O86 5.4.5 procedure, but is somewhat more detailed, allowing for the effects of gypsum ceiling, blocking, bridging, and strapping, in addition to the parameters for the O86 procedure.
