Hold-down Input

The input of the parameters needed to completely specify the affect of a hold-down connection on deflection of a shear wall or hold-down capacity is dispersed throughout the program, as follows:

• Hold-down Database Editor - For input of the properties of standard hold-down connectors
• Structure Input View - For parameters such as anchor bolt lengths and shrinkage lengths that apply to each building level
• Wall Input View - Selection of hold-down connector at wall end, properties of wall end studs the hold-downs are connected to, and number of end studs
• Opening Input View - Selection of hold-down connector at opening end and number of end studs
• Hold-down Settings - Parameters that apply equally to all hold-down locations, and over-rides for calculated displacement values
