Sizer implements the K_D load duration factor according to the following design code clauses from CSA O86

• 5.3.2.1 and Table 5.1 - Load duration factors for load types
• 5.3.2.2 - Long-term load duration factor
• 5.3.2.3 - Procedure for combining K_D's

The load types referred to in the subtopics below are D = dead W = wind S = snow H = earth,groundwater E = earthquake L = live (use,occupancy) Ls =live (storage,equipment) Lt = live (liquids in tanks) Ds = dead load due to soil.
