The design provisions used in WoodWorks Sizerä are from the 2019 CSA O86 Engineering design in wood Standard (September 2019), including Update No.1 (March 2020).
Load types, load combinations, load factors, and importance factors are taken from the the 2020 National Building Code of Canada (NBC). Prior to the 2019 edition of O86 these were also listed in the O86-14 and earlier editions. O86-19 now just references the NBC for this information.
A small number of design provisions taken directly from the NBC, Division B, Part 4 are also implemented.
The O86-19 is referenced from NBC 2020. A program setting allows you to use O86-19 along with NBC 2015, or the CSA O86-14 along with either the 2015 or 2010 editions of the NBC, or the CSA O86-09 with NBC 2010. An option is also available to use O86-24 fire design provisions along with O86-19 for other design and NBC 2020.
