Detailed Seismic Load Generation Output

The program outputs detailed intermediate calculations for seismic base shear V in ASCE 7 12.8 and for its distribution to building levels using 4.1.8.11.(7). It also shows a list of seismic loads generated on each level. It is accessed via the Seismic Load Generation Details tool bar button. This output shows:

A list of data input in the Site Information dialog, also showing corresponding site coefficients F_a and F_v
A legend defining all symbols used in the equations and expressions
A list of references to sources for the input data from the NBC and elsewhere
List of all equations and data sources with reference number from NBC.
A table for seismic base shear, showing,
- For the entire structure
  - Seismic Design Category (SDC)
  - Building weight W
  - Importance factor I_e
  - Spectral accelerations S_D1and the S_DSused for SDC, diaphragm design force, and out-of-plane forces
  - Maximum period T_max and approximate period T_a
  - Coefficient C_ufor maximum limit on T
  - Exponent k in distribution of base shear to levels (shown here for convenience)
- For each force direction
  - Force modification factor R
  - Period T
  - Design spectral accelerations S_S and the S_DSused for base shear and vertical earthquake force E_v.
