SCL (structural composite lumber), refers to materials such as laminated veneer lumber (LVL), parallel strand lumber (PSL) and laminated strand lumber (LSL).
WoodWorks Sizer includes a database file with sample data not corresponding to any particular manufacturer. You should either modify this database file or create a new one with database with WoodWorks Database Editor before using it.
WoodWorks Sizer provides suggested sections for SCL based on typical sizes and calculates allowable design stress values according to provisions in NDS Chapter 8.
Although the design values are in the range of manufacturers' claimed values, proprietary differences can result in discrepancies. The SCL manufacturer or supplier should be contacted for actual sizes and design values, due to the proprietary nature of these products.
