PRG 320 Table A-1 - Strength Properties

The following design properties, in psi, for the transverse and longitudinal layers of each CLT grade described in CLT Materials are from Table A1 of PRG 320. Sizer uses the Shear Analogy Model to convert them to the design capacities and (FbS)eff, (EI)eff , and Vs shown in Table A2.

Compressive strength perpendicular to the grain Fcp is also defined as a grade property for use in bearing design and is the Fcp from the lumber used in the longitudinal layers.

You can modify these properties or create new CLT layups with different properties in the Grade dialog of Database Editor:
