Design Iterations

This topic refers to the iterations needed to

• for each design case, design shear walls in order to determine
  • the capacity and/or stiffness needed for load distribution to shear lines and force distribution within the shear line,
  • any design factors to be applied to the shear line forces based on the wall design
• for each design case, go back and redesign based on the new force distribution, and after having applied any design factors
• determine the final design walls based on the most severe of the design cases and the heaviest loading amongst walls in a wall design group
• determine the load and force distribution based on the stiffness and/or capacity of the final walls and
  • check to see if they still pass for all design cases
  • create the final output results
