Wind Load Design Procedure

Shearwalls provides a choice of methods for generating wind loads. You can choose from the following settings according to whether your building meets the limitations of the procedure for low buildings.

Low buildings, NBC 4.1.7.6

For this method, external pressure co-efficients are from Figure 4.1.7.6.-A for the main wind force resisting system (MWFRS) and 4.1.7.6.-B for components and cladding (C&C). Internal coefficients are from 4.1.7.7.

Other Buildings, NBC 4.1.7.5

For this method, both MWFRS external pressure co-efficients are from 4.1.7.5.(2) and 3), and Figure A.4.1.7.5.(2) and (3). For components and cladding, thy are from 4.1.7.5.(4) and Figure A.4.1.7.(4). Internal coefficients are from 4.1.7.7.
