Full and Partial Wind Loading

Shearwalls implements only Clause (a) of NBC 4.1.7.9.(1) Full and Partial WInd Loading, the case of full loading along each axis independently.

The torsional cases (b) and (d) require 100% and 50% respectively to be removed from "any portion of the area". The computational demands and increased program complexity of sampling a reasonable number of such areas would be prohibitive.

Clauses (c) and (d) require 75% of wind loads applied on both axes simultaneously. This procedure would apply primarily to elements such as columns designed for combined loading. These elements do not exist in the Shearwalls program.
