Application Data

Information that you change while using a WoodWorks® program that pertains to all your projects is stored in the following locations:

For a particular user:

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\WoodWorks\CWC\Canada\11\

For all users:

C:\ProgramData\WoodWorks\CWC\Canada\11\

The files found in these locations are material database files, initialization (.ini) files containing your settings and preferences, hold-down and hanger databases, default loads, standard wall files and auto-recovery backup files.

If the program does not find the information for a user, it retrieves it from the ProgramData files. This happens when one person installs the program then another person uses it.

While diagnosing a problem, Technical Support may ask you to send these files. These folders sometimes do not appear in Windows Explorer; to make them appear, go to the File tab, Show/hide group and check Hidden. Furthermore, you must have administrative rights on your computer to access these folders.

These files remain on your computer after WoodWorks® is uninstalled. They can be removed before uninstalling with a utility called Uninstall Database that is available on the WoodWorks Start menu. They can also be deleted manually, but if not deleted, they will do no harm.
