In the Structure Input view, there are choices for the following:
Diaphragm Flexiblity
You can choose whether to model the building using rigid diaphragms, flexible diaphragms, or both at once. Refer to Horizontal Load Distribution to Shear Lines for guidance on which of these options to choose.
Ceiling Acts as an Upper Level Diaphragm
This check box affects the calculation of hold-down forces in the uppermost level at gable ends, as described in Wall Height at Gable Ends.
