Shearwalls models a building as an orthogonal set of walls that are organized into parallel shear lines, one set of shear lines for each of the east-west and north-south directions. Shearwalls does not allow walls to be entered at an angle to the shear lines, that is, does not implement skewed shear walls.
All walls on a building level must be the same height, that is, split level structures are not supported. Walls on different levels can be of different heights.
Refer to Wall Type, Wall Construction, and Wall Materials for the physical and design properties of the walls. Walls can also be grouped for standardized input and design.
