Reset Original Settings

A button in each settings tab allows you to return all settings in the tab to the pre-set default values that were in effect when you first installed Sizer.

Note: the restored settings will not become the new defaults unless you have checked Save as default for new files from the Settings Menu before exiting the box.

Therefore, it is possible to restore the original settings just to view them, and then getting your original settings back by closing the project and opening a new one. However if you select Save as default for new files after restoring the settings, you will permanently lose your customized settings.

Note that some settings are not in the Settings dialog box, the are in Beam View, Load View, or Column View because they are frequently used or they naturally group with other inputs in those views. For Load View options, a button called Reset original options allows you to restore your "factory" settings for options appearing in that view.

The small number of beam/column view options that act as settings are restored when the Default settings are restored (Span type and Unknown bearing length) or when the Design settings are restored (Temperature (USA only), Default fire design ).
