All user preferences and program settings are accessed through the "Settings…" item on the main menu. A window appears, containing several tabbed forms, or "pages". Click on the tab for the settings you wish to change.
The tabs are as follows:
Default Values View Company Information Project Description
Design Format Options Loads And Forces Hold-down Settings License Management
Two items are common to each settings page:
Save As Default for New Files
If this box is checked when you click "OK", then the settings in that page are used for all new projects opened with "File New".
Restore Original Settings
If this button is clicked, then the settings in that page are immediately changed to the ones that originally came with Shearwalls. In order to save these for future use, however, you must make sure that the "Save As Default" button is checked before exiting.
