The following provisions from Appendix N are implemented in Sizer
Appendix N.1.2: Specifies that loads and load combinations are from applicable building code or ASCE 7
Appendix N.2.1: Indicates that adjusted design values are from ASTM D5457 or from NDS using N 2.2
N.2.2: Indicates NDS design values are to be adjusted as per modification factors tables for each member type. These tables give the format conversion factor KF, and resistance factor φ and time effect factor λ that are also listed in N3.1, N3.2, and N3.3, respectively.
N3.1 - Gives format conversion factor KF for each design criterion. Also in Table 2.3.5.
In addition to Appendix N, the following following NDS provisions specific to LRFD are implemented in Sizer. Note that all other NDS provisions also apply to LRFD unless indicated as ASD-only.
